Disability Rights Now presents Bold Beauty Project

DISABILITY RIGHTS NOW (DRN)

The mission of DRN is to address the lack of opportunities for people with disabilities in the legal profession. Notably, 20% of California's population have a disability, but less than 1% of employees in law firms report being disabled, according to the ABA Profile of the Legal Profession 2021. This is not consistent with the goal of having a legal profession reflective of our society. DRN is working to address this gap with the goal of having a legal profession reflective of our society.

BOLD BEAUTY PROJECT (BBP)

BBP is a powerful, visual arts exhibition that celebrates women with various disabilities. The creative, large-scale photographs, produced by award-winning photographers, coupled with the women's personal stories and the photographers' narratives, create a vivid and intimate portrait of women with disabilities today. The process provides transformative experiences for the participants and new visions of beauty and engagement for viewers. BBP uses art as a tool for empowering change.
